@Temp0rary_TM Ive seen card stores do the same thing. They sell at msrp if they take off the plastic or snip the corner of single packs.

@KeiOrtem I think TPC should do this on purpose, like how the Japanese PKMN centre has started cutting the edges of packs to avoid scalping, it sucks it has to come to that but, drastic measures

@MysticFatee I can too if the box was badly damaged, but you can still enjoy the packs and display the box. A tear in the plastic isnt going to change anything except the resale value. Which if thats people's only/primary reason over being upset then they are in the hobby for the wrong reason

@KeiOrtem To be fair i've ripped probably 50+ packs and i want the ETB just to have it on display with my mega greninja SIR. I can understand the frustration.

@jesieniarz Im pretty sure the pokemon center stores in Japan even take the wrapping off when you buy their card merchandise

@KeiOrtem All pokemon products should come unsealed. Would solve so many problems.

@SushiNFries1 I just dont get the point of putting sealed product on a shelf. If you wanna display the packaging cause its cool im all for it. Open the packs then display the box. This is always first and foremost a tcg game for you to collect and/or play with.

@KeiOrtem I don’t sell anything, but collect some sealed. I wouldn’t want a rip in the packaging. I also have sealed, non Pokémon things that I know will never be worth anything, but I still like them to look immaculate.

@KeiOrtem Honestly every store should have a policy that they rip seals or poke a hole at the end of a pack after purchase

pokemon merch in north america is created for people who had a short fling with the franchise at age 7 and still have a fondness for it and not for actual fans of pokemon. severe lack of merchandise of pokemon trainers themselves. i can’t keep paying these proxy fees
