Congrats to Geoff Roberts MBE who has been awarded an MBE in the King's Birthday Honours list. He served in the 7th Bn. King's Own Scottish Borderers during Operation Market Gard 1944. He is believed to be one of the few veterans still alive who took part in the Operation.

#WW2 21 Sept 44 Lord Carrington in his tank was ordered over the #Nijmegen bridge to take control. Controversially they were not ordered to #Arnhem. He was awarded the Military Cross in capturing Nijmegen Bridge. He features in my book veteransofarnhem.com Available NOW.
