#TexasTech head coach Joey McGuire said the offense will move receivers around more than the team had done previously. He added that the receiver sets will be more formation-based this season.  “We felt like Oregon really took our outside guys away. And we have got to do a better job of being able to move our playmakers around, to make them do more.”

#TexasTech head coach Joey McGuire said wide receiver Micah Hudson was not on scholarship last season. He added that Hudson had to walk-on in 2025. “What people don't understand is Micah Hudson walked on last year. He was not on scholarship. We just put him back on scholarship. In January, he wore number 14. I was not going to give him number one.” “He would have to earn it back. Micah did a lot of things to be back at Texas Tech because he knew that this is where he should have been and stayed, and it’s going to pay off.”
