Obviously have been some churn involved in the West Lancashire by-election result. But the 10% swing from Tories to Labour seems underpinned by significant direct switching, (or at least Tory abstention). Another bad night for Rishi Sunak and another good night for Keir Starmer.

@DPJHodges With the election just under 2 years hence, this by election result is meaningless. Tory abstention is totally different to switching, so I don' t understand your analysis!
