LeBron has had some brutal luck with key teammates going down at the worst possible times. 2015 Kevin Love Dislocated shoulder in the 1st Round vs. Boston. 2015 Kyrie Irving Fractured kneecap in Game 1 of the Finals vs. Golden State. 2018 Kevin Love Head injury / concussion issue in the East finals vs. Boston, after leaving Game 6 and then missing Game 7. 2021 Anthony Davis Groin injury in the 1st Round vs. Phoenix. 2026 Luka Doncic Left hamstring injury vs. OKC with the playoffs right around the corner. Just an awful pattern for a player who’s had more than his fair share of co-stars go down before or during the biggest moments. Everybody thinks their favorite players/teams got robbed by injuries, but the 2015 Cavs had objective proof that they were historically great when whole. Kyrie & even Love being out in the Finals is one of the biggest asterisks in sports history.
