It is World Mental Health Day and we are supporting @YoungMindsUK with their #HelloYellow theme. Students were invited to wear something yellow and spelled out their motto, before a whole school assembly led by Mental Health ambassadors. We have various activities each day.

There are no silver bullet engagement or community growth hacks. The most effective strategy is to build genuine relationships with your members. Take a real interest into their lives. Treat them as real people rather than numbers behind a screen. Everything else will follow.

The difference between audience and community is ego. If you want a community, you have to step down and not be the main voice. You have to be a bridge, not the star and that is hard, especially for thought leaders and brands who want to stay in the light.
