Now that I think about it, Norris not being able to check out from 1st place early in the race is a sign we are still behind race pace wise. A 2nd in Japan’s and a 2/3 after being nowhere in the first 2 races is a huge achievement. Lando and Oscar are on top top form

@Crackite1 @F1_driven Rob marshall has been an unbelievable signing for mclaren...credit aswell must go to andreas seidl...way back he said mclaren needed to back to mercedes engines and build a new wind tunnel and simulator..which is paying dividends now...

@F1_driven Mclaren have same engine but better aerodynamic engineers. So was always going to be time before they caught up with them and now they have.

It's pretty clear to me that Merc are not optimised because there's no way they lost this much to certain teams But wow Mclaren, they're straight back to the top, that's insane. That engineering team really are no joke

Max Verstappen has admitted he has a decision to make about his F1 future due to his lack of enjoyment with the current rules. After getting eliminated in Q2 in Japan, Verstappen said he has “a lot of stuff personally to figure out”.

@MrDanzy83 Yeah thought the exact same myself....alpine and williams seem to be fine...I can't imagine that zak and andrea are happy with what's going on......I think mercedes are afraid of mclaren! We've proven that we're a better race team than them

@Keithgr09436929 Yeah seem’s strange out of the customer teams we are encountering these amount of issue’s. I can only imagine team will be checking well before the race to make sure everything is working in case of another issue.

Another battery issue for Mercedes, this is nails in coffin for the partnership then isn’t it.

@Keithgr09436929 @ThisIsFormu1a1 Like I said there will is always a way of cutting a contract short, especially if McLaren don't think Merc are being fair and upholding there end of the partnership. It is early days in this era but I think you are wrong thinking we can't cut it short.

@MrDanzy83 @ThisIsFormu1a1 I doubt ourselves or mercedes will cut the deal short...I think mclaren are in the same situation now that red bull were between the renault and honda pu...mercedes or ferrari wouldn't give them an engine cos they knew they'd beat them...eventually red bull made there own pu

@Keithgr09436929 @ThisIsFormu1a1 Yeah but I think this is where we partner with a manufacturer and they we build an engine in partnership. It’s clear that McLaren probably think that Mercedes are not giving them all the information needed for this ruleset and engine. I think we will need to change.

@MrDanzy83 @ThisIsFormu1a1 Very true but it's optimistic for mclaren that there starting to build engines...whilst I think it's unlikely that we'll build engines on our own due to the size of mclaren...we're tiny compared to mercedes,honda,ferrari,Audi and red bull
