In my opinion, European ≠ white European refers to the ANF + WHG + WSH (with some possible minor contributions from other populations) genetic profiles, while white simply refers to pigmentation and racial type So this individual would classify as European, but not as white

@nuevomundista @swenstone0 @PrinzJosed To me, it's a gray area, but I get why some people consider them white. If you look at the actual genetics, though, they wouldn't be, since they don't cluster with Europeans or share the same genetic distances.

@swenstone0 @perescec That's true too, which is why they're in Euro_Mena, though a lot of them are even further away than some lebanese because of their afro admixture. This is where they cluster on the PCA.

@swenstone0 @perescec I agree, though I think there are a few things to consider. Someone who's 95% Dutch and 5% Khoisan or even Bantu, like some Afrikaners are, is already shifted way out.

@Kekilton @perescec Well that’s 92%, if he was at 93.5% I’m very sure he’d fit in Europe genetically cluster. Most Afrikaners are 95-100% so that’s very rare

@swenstone0 @perescec Actually, it's way more than that. 93.5% is already a huge shift away from Europeans, especially considering the most common scenario involves african ancestry, which creates an even bigger gap and is way more common in Brazil.

@perescec 90% European and 10% Amerindian is non European. 93.5% European and 6.5% Amerindian is the bare minimum to be European. Native American and African dna is very distant from European.

@Ltbtsvegeta @OlmecReligion @UBERSOY1 Yep, that was just one specific sample. The rest are still in the European cluster, but they have a higher percentage of euro ancestry. That 92% Dutch, 5.6% Indian, and 2.2% Khoisan mix is enough to shift it away.

@21storder @Estatuder @GeneticaBRZ Você não sabe o que escreve. O europoide só vai até os europeus de fato. O roxo é o west-eurasian, que inclui até os árabes. E o 15% afro quase escapa, é mais próximo de norte-africanos do que dos europeus.

@21storder @Estatuder @GeneticaBRZ Onde falei em pureza? Disse que uma população é formada por si mesma e não por outras que divergem dela. Isso seria uma outra população que surge da mistura, tal como os castizos, quadroons etc, que é o que a maior parte dos "brancos" de SP e do BR são.

O ponto central da discussão nunca foi dizer que europeus têm DNA ameríndio antigo, ''mas sim provar que pureza racial'' é um mito biológico e que populações são formadas por misturas históricas.
