5th graders at 279Online visited w/ a ranger from Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington DC to learn about his speeches & his memorial. When asked to share 1 thing they enjoyed, a student said, "Everything," & another said, "I enjoyed all the facts they shared." @ISD279

Scholars and staff at Zanewood Community STEAM School shared the history of Martin Luther King Jr. Day during their daily Zanewood TV segment. Students at Maple Grove Middle School created a We Have A Dream wall. At Osseo Middle School, students submitted projects about MLK.

At Elm Creek Elementary School, a book display encouraged scholars to choose a book about Rev. King and what he stood for. Fifth graders at 279Online visited with a ranger from Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C. to learn about his speeches and his memorial.

Osseo Area Schools recognizes Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday on Monday, Jan. 16. Scholars around the district found a multitude of ways to share King’s message of equality and tolerance for all.
