Smoke from the #MosquitoFire crept into the #LakeTahoe Basin along the west shore yesterday. Large ash deposits were actually falling on @jasmineakrause and me. Could have some interesting N and P additions in these nearshore water samples 🧪@unrcabnr

This January will go down as one of the driest in history in both California and Nevada. Both Reno and Fresno will for the first time ever record no precipitation in January since records began over 130 years ago in the 1880s. #CAwx
