We couldn't wait!🎉We're kicking off #WAAW2025 a day early because the fight against #AMR can't wait.

The first lunchtime teaching session, presented by Dr Jessica Martin & Charlie Lobley from @IpcLtht, focused on moving from #HCAI Root Cause Analysis to the new real-time PSIRF (Patient Safety Incident Response Framework).

Today's theme has been 'Prevention' - the fight against #AMR isn't all about prescribing! We've been promoting being 'Hands Ready' in clinical areas, keeping up to date with vaccinations, and following #IPC guidance to reduce the spread of infections.

There was a #WAAW2025 Bake Sale in the PIT office today, and thanks to some keen bakers and buyers we raised £118.30 for AMR Action UK (formerly known as @1Antruk). Check out their website to learn more about this vital charity: amr-action-uk.org

Our #WAAW2025 stand in the Gledhow building had plenty of visitors, manned by the Pharmacy Infection Team and our keen trainee pharmacists. Thanks to everyone who came to learn more! We'll be at LGI tomorrow & Chapel Allerton Hospital on Thursday - hope to see you all there!
