@canadianrn2009 Hmm… it sounds like we’re in a position to look at our language and policies on #frailty. It’s not the same as getting older and the referral’s reasoning is sooo #ageist! Your expertise might be a right fit but reframing the conversation would be a huge benefit.

If I'm getting referrals as a Geriatric Nurse for someone who is 55 & the rationale is they really look like 80 & they're needing help. Then,maybe I should see a 2 yr old Benjamin Button. Is my demographic really getting young? #geronurse #geriatricnurse #geriatric #nursing

I'd like to think as a Geriatric Nurse Clinician that I have so much power and can do anything BUT what I want my colleagues to realize is that I am only a piece of the puzzle. We got a team- SW, PT, OT, HH, Geriatrician, etc So asking me about stairs,etc. I am lost. #geronurse
