@MaleknazNayebi @FSEconf You can register without uploading a pdf. When you click the save draft button it will tell you the submission is registered but not ready for review because the pdf is missing.

@citostyle @mauricioaniche @gousiosg @anandsaw @jhejderup @msrconf @MeiNagappan They were in the technical track in 2021, but also in 2020. In 2021 we had trouble getting those papers accepted. I believe this was a factor in moving them to a separate track where they wouldn’t be compared against research papers. @NicoleNovielli and @shane_mcintosh?

@mauricioaniche @gousiosg @anandsaw @jhejderup Preach! I want to see full-paper engineering contributions in technical tracks. @msrconf piloted a "reusable tool" for both short+full papers in 2021. @KellyBlincoe @MeiNagappan do you know why this tradition was not continued?

Yesterday @gousiosg @anandsaw @jhejderup visited us and talked about dependency management. A few times they said smt like "easy to describe but hard to implement". The SE research community should value engineering contributions more, implementing ideas properly is hard!

@AlexP_DownUnder @splashcon There is also a layover option via LAX with Air New Zealand, direct from London. Air New Zealand also recently started flying direct from JFK in New York, so that is another option. Hope to see you soon in Auckland! The weather should be great in December.
