B.C. has lost nearly 60,000 private-sector jobs since January. Not government jobs, PRIVATE-SECTOR jobs. The jobs that actually create wealth, drive investment, and pay the taxes that fund everything else. Meanwhile, after years of massive government expansion, British Columbians are now staring down a $13.3 BILLION deficit, soaring debt, higher taxes, collapsing business confidence, and rising unemployment. This is what happens when government grows while the productive economy shrinks. Working people are losing jobs, businesses are pulling back, young people are losing hope, and the NDP has its head in the sand while B.C.’s economy weakens in real time.

7,829 seniors waiting for long-term care in BC. That’s up 11% in one year. Average wait: over a year. Maximum wait: 2,825 days. Almost 8 years. This isn’t pressure on the system. This is failure by this NDP Government, and this Health Minister.

So... the union builders who were going to build these seniors housing units are now without that work because the BC NDP has mismanaged the provinces financials so severely that they can't afford to hire those union workers right now, and the private builders who could build the units for less money, as they do in other provinces, are not allowed to build the units because the province will only hire unionized builders for the project... so, the seniors who are in need of seniors housing are stuck in hospitals and single family homes that they can longer manage within because there is not enough seniors housing... while the housing crisis and hospital crisis rages on because (start at top).

NEW - BC gov confirms long-term care home projects in Fraser Health that were "re-paced" (delayed) in Feb budget have been cancelled. @BowinnMa says "the reality is we have been saying cost escalation across the province often times exceeding what is reasonable for taxpayers."

Canada’s deficit went from 78B to 66B. How come nobody is talking about this? Canada is literally winning right now and all I’m hearing is @MarkJCarney is putting us in a deficit hole. Canada is a resource rich country. This gets better. Canada is long term bullish. 🚀

We have an Attorney General who willingly consented to a US-based tribe being a respondent in litigation to disrupt a critical mineral project in the Kootenays-a mine being co-developed with the Osoyoos Indian Band. She couldn’t answer my questions. Looking out for BC’s interests? Doesn’t appear so… #bcpoli

We’re in an economic crisis. We have a record-busting deficit. We just lost 40,000 jobs in 2 months. This morning I tabled a motion to provide mandatory economic literacy training to MLAs. The NDP’s response was to try to amend it into a culture war debate.
