Having come to the US when I was a toddler and working with so many amazing #Dreamers, today’s #SCOTUS decision brought me tears of joy

Teachers shouldn’t be forced to buy their own supplies while our police departments purchase combat vehicles.

SOME NEEDED CONTEXT: Activists calling for defunding the police are not always calling for dismantling departments. In many cases, it means redirecting funds from police departments to other parts of society that help people like housing, education, and communities.

Take this post as a slow clap for teachers. I'm a math coach stepping in for an end of the year maternity leave. Today I made my first lesson video. It took me two hours, which is all to say, teachers have been crushing it this whole time. This work is no joke, then and now.🍎
