It has come to my attention that @troypavlek has taken a tweet I made about charging for bags in Edmonton and tried to attribute it to the City Hall attack.

History was made in the 2021 election and I believe history will be made with the next election as well. A severe mismanagement of spending, and effectively, the development of a penal system for YEG consumers will be 2 of the most cited reasons. Council read the room and was unable to connect this as a Big Business problem to solve in order to remove the blatant hypocrisy, or that the impetus of change must be a worldwide movement w/ all the big players involved. #yegcc is not starting the wave. Instead, they are so steadfast in their virtue signalling they decided penalizing Edmontonians, for an inability to curb their innocuous behaviour, was the right call, again. #yegcc is punishing its citizens for not falling in line. Not for breaking the law, or for being a menace in society, but because they didn't take one of their growing collection of reusable bags to Zara.
