Would you swap the pound for the Euro in order to rejoin the EU? It's a condition demanded by an EU chief after Labour challengers Wes Streeting and Andy Burnham put a return to the bloc back on the agenda. Is scrapping sterling a price worth paying?

@Keltique @JeffBro08509100 Nope. Worked through. Scotland has a fixed budget. England has uncontrolled borrowing. That debt is then shared with Scotland via GERS. That's what the equivalent in 1707 was about. England offloading its debt onto Scotland so the aristocracy didn't go broke. OK clueless?

@macnahgalla @RolandButter12 Amazing how a couple of weeks after the election he decided to plead guilty. I don't think could be any reason he would wait till then ? Will be interesting to see how the sentencing goes.

Prediction: Murrell will plead guilty there will be no trial and he will be sentenced with a wrap on his knuckles. It’s all pre planned by the Scottish establishment…

@Political_AlanS By looking at the figures from the 53% that did vote as a unionist I think it may be a good thing

@FatimaJojiSnp I can't agree that anyone has actually won the majority of the voters Yes one party has won a majority of seats. With around a turnout of around 53% it seems to be none of us have set the heather on fire.

Scotland has delivered a clear democratic mandate. The SNP remains the largest party, and the strongest pro-independence majority in Holyrood’s history has been secured. If this is truly a union of equals, Westminster must respect Scotland’s democratic choice. Democracy is

@outofunion 38.2 % of the constituency vote voted for the SNP That is 38.2% of the 53% of the voters that actually voted. Overwhelming OK lol What we saw was a failure by all parties to engage with people of Scotland

@MikeyTheBuddie Obviously it suits Mike not to say that McGills were refused the latest SNP Government grant to buy buses from Alexander Denis in Falkirk while other Scottish companies were given grants to buy buses from CHINA.

I love how people like Liz don’t remember that Labour sold the buses in Scotland to private companies. And one of their major donors, the McGill brothers, regularly buy Chinese made Yutong buses. They also complain about Scotrail and Ferguson Marine.
Elizabeth Carr-Ellis@lzbthcarrellis

Our buses have become a joke under the SNP. We’ll bring them back under public control so they work for the people. Another reason to make it both votes @ScottishLabour on Thursday #NorthEastFife #Fife #BetterBuses #TikTokPolitics

Delicious to see Labour’s man in Scotland working himself into a frenzy, not knowing that the President messaged John Swinney last night to congratulate him on his role in the deal - followed by a call today. The difference between a Scottish Leader and a Unionist follower.
Douglas Alexander@D_G_Alexander

John you’ve been caught red handed claiming credit for something you didn’t achieve. Now you’re doubling down. It’s embarrassing. I get it doesn’t fit your world view that the U.K. Govt was working for this whisky deal before, during & after your visit to DC but those are facts.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 English students now pay over £9,500 a year in tuition fees and Labour will put them up every year from now on. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Meanwhile in Scotland @theSNP introduced free tuition and will always ensure that access to education is based on the ability to learn, not the ability to pay.

THE LAST TIME LABOUR WAS IN POWER IN SCOTLAND .. They underspent by£1.5bn.. then gave our much needed money down to the Treasury. The SNP with only 5 years with a majority in Parliament are still trying to fix this massive underspend with a reducing real terms budget.
