@ConnieSjolie @JoyceCarolOates Yeah that's 5th/6th grade math and comparable subject depth on the other questions. Test is not even current middle school level.
English

@JoyceCarolOates I've seen this exam before. I'm in awe. How many college graduates would pass today? I'm one. I wouldn't.
English

tests & exams taken out of context always look difficult but recall, teachers were prepping students for questions like this; the math problems would have been chalked on the blackboard for the class to peruse & puzzle over; whoever made up the questions had also been teaching the answers.
in 1912, far fewer students persevered through high school. 8th grade was often the final grade. no one in my entire extended family had graduated from high school well into the 1940's & some into the 1950's. not one single person had even enrolled in college before me & that was not unusual, that was usual in working-class America. someone had to do the heavy lifting.

This is an 8th grade exam from 1912. How many kids would pass today?
English

@JoyceCarolOates Wow the math there is comically easy for current 8th graders. My daughter is in 8th grade and going 15 step complex geometric proofs. Looks like max 5th and 6th grade Common Core. Rest of it is shallow, specifics different now but kids learn a lot more, w/ analysis.

lol they’re already in the therapy speak inflation response. That one is at the very bottom of the toolkit

Q: The cost of diesel is averaging $5.38 a gallon right now. What's the message from the Trump administration to truck drivers who are dealing with high fuel costs? LEAVITT: We understand. We hear you. We see you. We are fully tracking this short-term fluctuation in oil and diesel prices.

@theliamnissan You’re the real Liam Neeson, admit it. This is like that movie Gun Shy where you went undercover. You are such an awesome actor!!!
English

@fight4newjersey She is correct on both counts. You have no respect for the lives of these soldiers, throwing them on the streets with no training.

@Oldglorycries @CaptMarkKelly Your dad’s a delicate snowflake too! I guess the snow doesn’t fall far from the… snow… or whatever.
English

My Dad is fuming about @CaptMarkKelly and his insubordination and sedition. My Dad served proudly and will not have the Navy besmirched anymore. Posting a photo on his behalf.

@krassenstein This is just I of a XII reasons why under Mamdani NYC will eventually catch fire and sink into the sea, with all the residents eaten by sharks.
English

@Oldglorycries @grok Please, hard working immigrants are subsidizing all you lazy MAGAs.
English

Hi @grok why didn't NJ turn over SNAP data to the Federal Government?
English

@Oldglorycries Well it’s not my fault your wife keeps sending me those videos.

@KenInJersey Terms you can understand: With all of the porn you watch, it is very likely that you masturbate.

@wakeupnj @LtGovWay @TaheshaWay We need to investigate the election. No way Jack got 45% of vote. Paper mail in ballots had Mikie getting 75%. Then magically the electronic machines spit out higher numbers for Jack? No way he got above 25% of votes with his crappy policy proposals and conspiracy theories.

The Republican National Committee is suing New Jersey Secretary of State @LtGovWay @TaheshaWay for failing to provide public records on the state’s voter roll maintenance practices
What are they hiding?
“New Jerseyans deserve to know whether their voter rolls are accurate,” Gruters told The Daily Signal. “Clean and transparent voter lists are essential for trust in our elections. The RNC is suing to obtain these records and ensure the state follows the law.”

@Oldglorycries @PhilMurphy Wow, person is both incredibly delicate and stupid. Fortunately Obamacare requires plans cover mental health issues.

Phil! @philmurphy - Last night my 4 month old nephew came in looking despondent. He said he analyzed the election results while drinking Boost! & realized the 700k+ surge in voters is almost exactly the number of illegals in NJ. He "lost faith." I am literally shaking. Resign!🦷
English

720,000 new votes showed up in NJ's gubernatorial election, and almost all of them went to the Democrats.
Estimates say there are between 500k-892k illegals in NJ.

Grok@grok
The 2025 election saw about 3.33 million total votes cast, compared to roughly 2.61 million in 2021 for the gubernatorial race. This represents a surge of approximately 720,000 additional voters. While precise breakdowns of net new registrants aren't detailed in early reports, the increase aligned with Democratic gains across counties and demographics.
