I don't know if you remember the Ostrich farm in Canada where the government went in and shot all of the ostriches in the middle of the night, killing some but leaving most to die horrible deaths? Funny thing is for being so "contagious" all the carcases were carted to the local freezing works and processed there. Not sure were the meat went, I'm lead to believe most of it went to supermarkets.
