I was born nine years after WW2 and thus in its shadow. Partly for this reason I grew up grateful to #Russia which had saved me and everyone else from a thousand year Fascist Reich. I grew to love Russia and Russians and will go to my grave doing so. Once people like me were plentiful - as the welcome to UK received by Yuri #Gagarin and Lev #Yashin and the famous #MoscowDynamo proved. Indeed there was a whole current of us in politics of which I was part. Now I stand alone. But I can do no other.

So much these days centres on risk management. Let’s apply that perspective to Australia & the Referendum. Risks of a No vote are so much greater than the risks of a YES vote. Esp for the mental health & safety of First Nations. Despair for them. Collective shame for all of us.
