This is Kupakwashe Majoka. I am grateful that his family allowed me to bring his tragedy to light. Harare City Council left an open flowing sewer near his home. This act of negligence was fatal. He fell in, drowned as he was washed away in Kambuzuma. His body was only recovered in miles further in Warren Park. Say his name. They must ALL resign.

@KeniardDoro @tinashetakuva Speaking about 2 different texts at the same time. I know someone whose entire story and argument was made in the footnotes as they tried to stay within the word limit.

Me each time I read a text that has endnotes instead of footnotes...

Rejection Letter Plot: 1. Profuse thankfulness for effort in applying 2. Apologetic acknlogment that ur application wasn’t the only 1 they received. 3. Bashful candidness that they compared u to others and found u wanting. 4. Unsolicited comfort coz you are sad. 5 Apply again.

Well. Apparently the new edition of the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS 18) has let itself go! It’s leaving the house in slippers and curlers! It gives zero fucks… PLACE OF PUBLICATION WILL NO LONGER BE REQUIRED IN CITATIONS AND BIBLIOGRAPHY.
