The Supreme Court has reiterated that the 14th Amendment is proof that FBA history is not some side note. It is central to American citizenship itself. If you were born here and claim citizenship by birth, you are benefiting from a legal framework created because of Foundational Black Americans.

Texas law does NOT allow you to stab someone simply because they’re attacking you.
Under Texas Penal Code §§ 9.31 and 9.32, deadly force (including using a knife) is justified only if:
• You reasonably believe it is immediately necessary to protect yourself from another person’s use or attempted use of unlawful deadly force; OR
• You reasonably believe it is immediately necessary to stop an imminent aggravated kidnapping, murder, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, robbery, or aggravated robbery.
Texas is a “stand your ground” state, meaning if you have a legal right to be where you are, did not provoke the confrontation, and are not engaged in criminal activity, you generally have no duty to retreat before using lawful force.
