@AbingdonTony Yep and that will send us down. We knew in January we needed to score more goals and it hasn’t happened. Better team, but still not enough goalscorers
Thinking about the last 2 home games v Charlton and Hull, we've played so well in both games and created numerous chances in both.
But all we've had to show for it goalscoring wise is 2 penalties. And I'm afraid therein lies our problem. #oufc
Oxford United have strengthened their survival bid in recent weeks, winning ten points from their last four matches. 💪
Looking ahead, how many points do you think your side will amass from their next four fixtures, U's fans? 🤔
Let us know! ⬇️

2 out of 4 teams are dropping from Albion, Oxford, Blackburn and Portsmouth. Leicester are far too good. If we can manage 4 more points before the break I really do back us to push on after it. Just need to hope a couple of the teams have a real meltdown to make it easier.
Cant be to down hearted about todays results ok we are back in the drop zone but at 3pm last Saturday we were 6 points from safety now its down to 1 #OUFC
@yellowsldn Tbf we all called for a striker and they hadn’t added that. I think the recruitment team are responsible for this seasons poor effort more than the managers. Players never been good enough
Understand that this is a hard job for Bloomfield but he’s failed to get a grip of this team at all there is no improvement and no more attacking threat whatsoever #oufc
Want to see this from now with a few options to rotate.
Either Mills and Currie, or Spencer and Roosken. Game dependant.
Obviously BDK isn’t fit either yet but that’s a swap for McDonnell.
Front 3 is pick any of the options we have really again, game dependant #OUFC
@NN10Canary As an Oxford fan I can say you were miles better than us. What most fans are annoyed about is the gap shouldn’t have been so clear. We can play better but it was messed up last night. You were quicker, passed better and have a decent striker, won comfortably
Unfortunately, it seems we may have overreacted. Despite dominating the game and comfortably winning 3-0 away from home, this Oxford United fan has confirmed we "weren't that good." #ncfc
@jakehodgsonn51@bobbim_ He’s a winger, most are like that, which is why we shouldn’t play 3-5-2 as it becomes 5-2-3 and we get overrun in midfield. It will be either Mills or Placheta to start take your pick. Jin has to get minutes in before starting
@bobbim_@KennettSteven Hes awful defensively 🤣🤣 soft as fuck, he isnt good enough to be a starter at this level like a few of our other players and thats the reason we are in the bottom 3
@oxfjack Just looking at the two you can see where the gap is and that’s exactly where we keep getting caught on and then sitting too deep as we don’t get the ball in that space
@secondtierpod Oxford I think have too much to do.
Leicester's squad *should* be enough, even in awful form (need JJ back). Albion just need to settle down and grind some results out (after tomorrow please)
Norwich no chance. Swansea will be fine.
So between Blackburn, Pompey, Charlton
@secondtierpod As an Oxford fan I would like to think we would survive with the new players in, however our inability to score goals concerns me. But I will still go with WBA and Blackburn, we have all the teams around us to play again so it is possible
@KennettSteven@SkyBluesExtra We booed because we should have been winning that game easily.
We have fluffed too many games like that. We've turned into Arsenal. Backwards and sideways all game looking for the perfect goal.
@modenaskyblue@SkyBluesExtra Joking right, yes he ran into him but your player went down like he had been headbutted, ref was on your side all game. Top of the league and you boo your players off at full time, shocking really!
@SkyBluesExtra It should have been a straight red.
Oxford were very cagey. They spread the booking around the team and subbed off a few on yellow cards. But it was bound to catch them out eventually.
