KFD crews are operating right now on the scene of a natural cover fire at 455 E Bruneau (Twin City Metals). Crews are in the process of extinguishing the fire.

If you see this van driving around Kennewick, it is our new Logistics vehicle. We are very excited to have a vehicle that allows lifting in a more ergonomically correct manner, has space for tools and equipment, and will improve efficiency. Graphics for the vehicle coming soon.

The value of closed doors can’t be overstated. Modern synthetic fuels inside homes burn hot and fast. Closed doors play a vital role in helping contain fires to the room or building of origin by helping slow the spread of a fire before the fire dept. arrives on scene.

KFD crews are on the scene of a natural cover fire at 1st Ave. and Gum St. The fire is under control, and crews are mopping up.

A great evening celebrating the 50th anniversary, rebrand, and ribbon cutting of Lourdes Behavioral Health. One of several important resources in place to support the mental health needs of the Tri-Cities community.

KFD crews are on the scene of a multi-acre fire that is located immediately to the west of Canyon Lakes. A rapid response and quick fire knock down kept the fire from growing and threatening homes. Crews will remain on scene to do mop up.

A big thank you goes out to our team that supports us at Shops. The work they do to help us keep apparatus on the road is vital to supporting our mission. We appreciate and value Steve, Nick, and Greg.

Day 3 of supporting Water Follies. Only treatment of minor injuries so far. A crash on the water today highlighted the importance of the coordination and collaboration between all of the emergency resources in place to support the event. Hope the rest of the day is safe.

Day one of Water Follies is in the books. KFD crews treated a few minor injuries. The team is back out again today in collaboration with our law enforcement partners and other City Staff. We are proud to participate as part of this incredible community event.

The KFD team is gearing up to support Water Follies. The department has been a part of this incredible event for many years. Our Firefighters are ready and prepared to ensure those that participate and attend have a safe and enjoyable time this weekend.

KFD crews will remain on scene of the residential fire at 6815 W. 20th for most of the day. Dealing with hot spots, and working to ensure the fire doesn’t rekindle.

Three occupants inside of the residence when the fire started. All three made it safely out of the home. Crews are still actively fighting the fire. Fire crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to two nearby homes.
