I try to tell everyone I eat healthy but nobody believes me
I guess I was on camera eating lunch in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. Just never know where a camera is these days 🤷🏻♂️😂

@SpotterBrett Oh I know where that’s at! Always liked the one on the right.

Hey, @GoodyearRacing I just found an old tire someone was going to throw away! I saved it from destruction and was hoping to identify the track/year it may have came from

Interesting perspective on this

@ripjetson9 It sounds like her son is under the impression that the axle is Titanium, which would not have thermal issues, where actually it is aluminum (7075? Not sure).
English

Temperature and cycles or fatigue life are definitely a major factor with aluminum, as another reply noted. Putting real numbers on it would be pretty difficult. Heat will transfer very quickly through the rotor carrier. A potential help could be some insulating material between the rotor and carrier. Maybe could install some temp stickers on the axle to get an idea how hot the axles are actually getting.
English

Im not sure what axle temps are but if a ti rotor is glowing at 1000F and the brake hub transfers that heat to the axle. Lets call the hub and axle temp directly under the hub 500F. I would assume that repeated hot/cold process creates some sort of thermal aging
Im just throwing random numbers out but im sure someone smarter than me has actual numbers. And aluminum does anneal at a certain temp
Are there any metallurgist on here reading???

@ripjetson9 @JMRacing14 You think we are seeing this more & more with the advancement of our brakes. The higher temps causing the Axels to change their strength or becoming brittle?

@AdamWhite_22 @DirtyMoMedia @markmartin I can’t speak for everyone else, but I have an immense amount of respect for Jack Roush.

Had good times with Jeremy @jeremymayfield_ . He taught me a lot. Could drive the wheels off of it and was an innovative chassis and body guy. Check out his new podcast. youtu.be/a9cP1ujkRP8?si…

@RealJessica This can’t possibly be real? Can it? Nobody in their right mind would think this would lure people back to New York. Would it?
English

New York Gov Kathy Hochul is begging wealthy people who have moved to Florida and Texas to come back to New York and pay taxes. 🤣
"I need people who are high net worth to support the generous social programs that we want to have in our state. Now, there are some patriotic millionaires who stepped up. OK, cut me the checks if you want to be supportive, but maybe the first step should be go down to Palm Beach and see who you can bring back home."
"I have to look at the fact that we are in competition with other states who have less of a tax burden on their corporations and their individuals. And I would say remote work changed everything."
"There were people who could only work in an office in Manhattan and work in New York state. And they were captives to our state, they were going to stay. We saw that that's not the case. Wall Street businesses looking at Texas, they're not going there because they have a nicer governor. They're going there because of the tax rate."

@NCMarrk Little wider shot, I would have been in it too. Pushing out for qualifying
