Talented players that come up in losing/mid environments often times stagnate (look at LaMelo and Paolo for example)

I feel your pain this year, MN sports fans. It's tough seeing guys leave and win titles elsewhere. But let's just be happy for KAT on this one. It wasn't gonna happen here, he went to the perfect fit, and he won it all with his hometown team. What an awesome story.
