.@MTA has unveiled its new mobile app. Riders can now access real-time subway and bus arrivals near them and view the real-time position of a train or bus and its estimated time of arrival at all its future destinations. masstransitmag.com/technology/pas…

The MTA says a pilot program installing modern fare gates at subway stations is showing early success in reducing fare evasion. Installation of the gates at 20 stations was completed this month. A key factor behind the reduction is the elimination of emergency exit gates, which the MTA reports account for 52% of fare evasion. The MTA plans to expand the program to 20 more stations later this year, with a goal of installing the modern fare gates at 150 stations by 2029. @SamiLiebman explains.

Starting on Sunday, March 29, new schedules will be in effect on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven lines. Some trains will have updated departure times, with a few leaving earlier or later. Check your trip on the TrainTime app or at mta.info, as departure times or station stops for your train may have been adjusted.
