The response to ABS reminds me of the initial response to the pitch clock. The it's-gonna-ruin-the-game crowd is out in full force, but eventually they come around to recognize: The game is better for it. There will be growing pains, yes, but the system will be a net positive.

What I believe to be the worst part of pitching: how inherently dangerous it is to an arm. So much can feel out of a one’s control. It can feel unfair when one gets hurt despite doing all the right things. That or one feels forced to work in a risky manner to get/keep a job

Within one week’s time, Shane Bieber and Eury Perez have needed Tommy John surgery and Spencer Strider has serious elbow concerns. Gerrit Cole is out until at least June with elbow issues, too. Pitching is a brutal business.
