The family is moving to San Diego this week! We loved our time in Colorado; now, family and new jobs are taking us further west. I am excited to announce that the Griffith Lab will be opening at UC San Diego on March 1st!

The overarching goal is translating mechanistic insights into advances for electrochemical energy storage and other functional semiconductors with, e.g., optical or thermoelectric activity.

One specific thrust of our lab will be leveraging solid-state NMR spectroscopy with our 900 MHz, 700 MHz, and 400 MHz instruments to understand dynamics, defects, disorder, and distortions at the atomic-scale.
