Senator Blessing and I have dropped a bill to repeal the tax break for data centers. We are awaiting a bill number. We had included the data center repeal in budget bills that we dropped in both 2024 & 2025, but this will be stand alone legislation.

Interesting find here from JP -- this particular data center is owned by the Carlyle Group, a private equity firm with $477 billion in assets. It's getting a $4.5 million state sales tax exemption and creating 10 new jobs
