@AdamSchupak 46th in strokes gained. 6th in fairways hit. But yeah 79 out of 80 sounds better

@jonathanrwall @Peej327221 That guy is probably correct. Rep probably an idiot.

@Peej327221 You sound fun. That intel came direct from the rep who worked with him on the driver. 😂

.@PingTour's G440 K driver is gaining traction on tour:
🔴 Viktor Hovland: G425 LST ➡️ G440 K
🔴 Ben Griffin: G430 Max 10K ➡️ G440 K
Hovland’s G425 was underspinning and leaking to the right, which opened the door to test G440 K again at TPC Scottsdale. When he tested it back in October, Ping tour rep Kenton Oates recalled him saying it was “the best 440 products right out of the box that he'd ever hit.”
“He liked the sound. He liked the feel. It just went a little bit too high for him,” Oates said. “He just didn't love the extra height, even if the launch and spin numbers were better on paper and a little bit tighter.”
He tried 425 LST at a shorter 45 inches on Monday, along with a 440 K at the same length, in an attempt to lower launch and kill the right miss. The tour team equipped the drivers with a Mitsubishi Diamana WB 73 TX.
“[The shaft] is a bit heavier and, from what we’ve seen, it'll start where you're swinging and stay there,” said Oates. “We kind of felt that is something that if Victor could control where he would start it, he'd, you know, figure out where to put the face from there.”
Hovland hit three balls with the shorter 425, followed by 25 with the 440 K over 90 minutes. The next two days featured more head-to-head testing before Hovland and caddie Shay Knight decided to pull the trigger after seeing spin deltas ~100 RPMs. Good shots were at 10/2,400. Misses were at 11/2,525.
When Hovland had gone shorter in the past, he’d lost 3-4 mph ball speed. But when he tested 440 K, he was able to achieve similar ball speeds to his longer length 425 (45.25").
“That's really what sold him on it was that he didn't have to give up any ball speed, and then he gained the forgiveness of the K driver, with the consistency of the spin rates and everything.”
Hovland also added 5g of hot melt to the heel side of the head to help combat any leak to the right.
With Hovland and Griffin both playing 440 K, Ping believes it could be the start of a driver trend as pros consider the idea of playing K heads that possess a unique blend of speed and consistency.

How many pivot feet do you get these days?
Serenity@Serenit53512035
Jordan Poole! Yes sir! Just filthy!

@Top100Rick Don’t think you get San Diego or Palm based on that line. But winter golf at Riv will do

I’m convinced the people choosing “C” have never actually been to California.
All winter you would play in LA, San Diego, and Palm Springs. Perfect weather every day.
All summer you play in San Francisco and Monterey. Perfect cool weather.
People are vastly overrating depth of golf courses. As if you need the 35th best course in this specific scenario. Remember, you can’t play in other markets, so all winter you can’t golf and no escape in the hot summer.
Cali:
Winter:
Riviera
LACC
Bel-Air
Hillcrest
Lakeside
Madison Club
Quarry
10+ other sweet Palm Springs courses
Summer:
Cypress Point
Pebble Beach
Monterey CC x2
San Francisco
Cal Club
Olympic
Lake Merced
Bunch of other sweet ones
This isn’t even considering amazing escapes like Park City and Aspen and Vegas in the wedge.
H wins in a bloodbath. Weather makes every day so good.

For the rest of your life, you can only play golf in ONE of the regions below. Unlimited budget + access to any course you want to play, whenever you want. Which one do you choose?

Someone should show this to the @USGA
Kevin Gallagher@KevG163
My how times have changed. Kickers nowadays routinely make 50- and 60-yard field goals. On September 17, 1978, NBC's Marv Albert and Bob Trumpy were incredulous that the #Seahawks' Efrén Herrera — a Pro Bowler and one of the best kickers of his era — connected on a 45-yarder.

@GavinNewsom You just practiced free speech.
Freedom of speech is alive and well. So is consequences of speech.
