Did You Know? We don’t “pick” your property value. We are also required to physically review properties on a set cycle and follow state guidelines. We are bound by law to ensure fairness and consistency for all property owners.

The PVA does NOT ❌ Set tax rates ❌ Issue tax bills ❌ Collect taxes ❌ Make laws affecting property owners Our role is to ensure property is assessed fairly and accurately based on market value.

We realize the impact our work has on tax bills, and it's a responsibility we take seriously every single day. Our office is bound by law to assess property at 100% fair market value. If you have questions, please give us a call - we're here to help.

MEET MARK! Mark doesn't consider himself a "tekky kind of guy". Mark recently expressed how easy it was to apply for the Homestead by applying IN-PERSON at the Covington PVA office! "Easy as 1-2-3", says Mark. We love providing exceptional customer service in-person!

Darlene Plummer is the first and only PVA among Kentucky’s 120 counties to earn the Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES). Darlene has also achieved the Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS) designation, making her the only PVA in Kentucky to hold both credentials.
