FRESH FACE FRIDAY: Help us welcome Pfc. Abril Rico, 18, of Lexington, Kentucky, to the Kentucky Army National Guard! Rico recently completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

#Honorthefallen Sgt. Ryan Jay Montgomery, of Greensburg, was killed July 3, 2005 in Iraq when his HUMVEE encountered an IED while returning from a convoy escort mission near Baghdad. Montgomery was assigned to Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion 623rd Field Artillery. #Neverforget

#Honorthefallen Spc. Michael Ray Hayes of Morgantown, was killed and four others were wounded June 14, 2005 near Baghdad, Iraq when insurgents fired on their armored Humvee with a rocket-propelled grenade. Hayes was assigned to the 617th MP Co. Det, in Bowling Green. #Neverforget
