On Thursday, 26 March 2026, H.E. Ambassador George Morara Orina, MBS, presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Catherine Connolly, President of Ireland at Áras an Uachtaráin,accrediting him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to Ireland

Both sides expressed optimism to building on this engagement and advance shared prosperity while deepening the strong ties between Kenya and Ireland.

During the discussions, the Ambassador and the Chairperson acknowledged the importance of leveraging the potential of respective countries' Diasporas to unlock mutually beneficial economic opportunities.

Today Tuesday 14th April 2026 in Nairobi, H.E. Amb. George Morara Orina MBS, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to Ireland had the honour to meet with Katherine Muldoon, Chairperson of Business Ireland Kenya.

The Embassy extends its sincere congratulations to Ms. Elizabeth and all scholarship recipients and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening cooperation and expanding Kenya's partnership with Ireland in supporting students from Kenya to access scholarship opportunities.

On Friday 27th March 2026, one Kenyan Student Ms. Elizabeth was awarded the Government of Ireland Scholarship to pursue a post graduate studies at one of the prestigious universities in Ireland.

The Ambassador conveyed his readiness to work closely with the Government of Ireland, as well as with private sector stakeholders to advance collaboration in key priority areas including healthcareThe, education, trade, agriculture, ICT and tourism among others.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador applauded the longstanding historic ties and cordial relations between Kenya and Ireland. He reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperations for the mutual benefit of both countries during his Tour of Duty.

The Engineers, stationed at EirGrid, an electric power transmission operator in Ireland, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador at the Kenya Embassy, Dublin highlighting their valuable contributions to their communities both in Ireland and Kenya.

During the meeting, both Ambassadors reaffirmed the strong bilateral relations between Kenya and the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as the continued cooperation at Multilateral levels. The Ambassadors committed to consult regularly on matters of mutual interest.

The Dean welcomed the Ambassador-Designate to ranks of the African Diplomatic corps and wished him well in his tour of duty.

His Excellency Amb. George M. ORINA, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Kenya to Ireland today 10th February 2026, paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Dr. Lahcen MAHRAOUI, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ireland and Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps in Ireland.

The Ambassador held a meeting with all the Embassy Staff and together they reiterated their firm commitment and readiness to work collegially to deliver on the important mandate of the Embassy to promote national interest and to take the Kenya-Ireland Relations to the next level.

H.E. George M. ORINA, MBS., Ambassador- designate of the Republic of Kenya to Ireland today 30th January 2026 formally took over the leadership of the Kenya Embassy in Dublin.
