Through partnerships such as this between Kenya, Japan, and UNDP, we are creating real opportunities for Kenyan enterprises to access new markets, build meaningful business relationships, and attract investment.
By strengthening the capacity of our MSMEs and connecting them to global value chains, we are laying the foundation for businesses to grow beyond borders and compete in high value markets such as Japan.
Ultimately, this is how we translate opportunity into impact by ensuring that businesses are empowered, markets are accessible, and livelihoods are transformed.

The Japan Market Survey and our participation at Expo Osaka 2025 have given us real time, evidence based insights into Japanese consumer behaviour, product preferences, and market entry barriers.
Japan is a high value and highly competitive market, but it also presents tremendous opportunity for Kenya. We must position ourselves as providers of premium, authentic and sustainably produced goods that meet the expectations of quality, consistency, and trust.
Together, we have an opportunity to deepen trade, grow investment, and unlock shared prosperity between Kenya and Japan.
