Two farmers stranded by rising River Tana floodwaters have been safely rescued by our team in Saka Location, Balambala Sub-County. As waters crept higher and the threat of drowning, alongside hippo and crocodile attacks in the floodwaters, became real and imminent, our responders deployed a speedboat to bring them to safety.

Last week, we held a series of productive meetings in Saudi Arabia with key partners: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, Saudi Red Crescent Authority and World Assembly of Muslim Youth. The delegation, led by PS Ismail Madey, included Prince Abdallah bin Faisal Al Saud, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, Dr. Taimur Shukrullah, Dr. Saleh Baabid, H.E. Joseph Masila, Deputy Ambassador Dr. Suleiman Ibrahim Roba and Ambassador Adan Mohammed. Discussions focused on strengthening strategic partnerships, aligning humanitarian priorities and unlocking funding to support the Kenya Red Cross response and recovery efforts. All three institutions expressed strong interest in collaboration, particularly in emergency response, health support, capacity building, and faith-based (zakat-driven) programming. Grateful for the shared commitment. Now onto delivery.
