I think Shane Day is honestly on internal hire OC watch if McDaniel leaves next year.
Relationship with Herbert, title promotion to PGC this year, spent two years in San Fran with Shanahan and McDaniel-all things that would probably fit what they're looking for.

Alright, folks. With the Chargers taking my WR5 the past two years in a row, I am obligated to let you know that this year's useless 2026 Tyler WR5 Award goes to...Denzel Boston.
He's WR6 on consensus (boring). McConkey and Harris were both 7th (Harris 8th if Hunter was a WR).

Gase has mostly just been hanging out and (maybe?) coaching high school since 2021 as far as I can tell, he was an advisor at 33rd Team in 2024 and went to visit the Broncos (father in law Joe Vitt is on staff) a few times the last couple offseasons. bizarre hire

We lost grandpa earlier this month, just days after his 90th birthday.
He was a Chargers fan from the beginning, and a Ducks fan as well. 65 straight years of "some day".
