On Wednesday, March 18, members of the St. Mary Traffic Unit, led by Cpl. K. Laing, conducted a road safety lecture for students at Emmanuel Basic School in Port Maria. Officers engaged students with practical demonstrations on safely crossing the road, even where there are no pedestrian crossings. The children were taught to look left and right, wait until the road is clear, cross carefully, walk in groups, avoid playing on the roadway and never run across the street. The interactive session saw students enthusiastically demonstrating what they learned, reinforcing key safety practices. The principal and teachers expressed gratitude for the initiative. The St. Mary Division remains committed to promoting safety awareness among youth and building safer communities. #SchoolVisit #AForce4Good

Most adults are struggling financially… not because they don’t earn, or the economy is bad, but because they were never taught how to manage money as children. The same habits often follow them into adult life …..

@vaewest They came here on a program and hence would have to return first, then engage that process I believe. But to just stay and accept a new contract would be illegal and a breach of the existing arrangement. They're a Communist state, different rules apply.

Many people already know the basics of personal finance: budget carefully, save consistently and invest for the long term. For fintech founder and money coach Anna Palomino, that disconnect between knowing what to do and actually doing it became the starting point for building Quatta, a financial planning platform designed to make managing money feel less intimidating and more engaging. jamaicaobserver.com/2026/03/18/kno…
