This week at the Care Home Visit, the children were developing their social skills and turn taking skills by playing dominoes and snakes and ladders with the residents. They also had some fun colouring in 🖍️ @GlasgowPedagogy @EdScot_HWB

At snack and lunchtime the children are developing their independence skills and being responsible by helping Jack, our Catering Assistant set up the areas for children to choose what they want to have 🍌@GlasgowCC @ScotGovEdu

Yesterday at our Care Home visit one of the residents was sharing his memories of when he was in the Navy., he was talking about boats and the uniforms he wore. This inspired children draw some boats ⛴️ @earlyyearsontap @PlayScotland

On World Book Day the children wore their pyjamas to nursery to celebrate bedtime stories, they also had fun listening to “The Colour Monster” and making and creating their own books 📕 @ELCHeather @GlasgowCC

To celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day our children have been chatting about how they are kind in nursery ❤️ @Glasgow_Live @GlasgowEY

As it’s Pancake Tuesday, our children had the opportunity to use their fine motor and listening skills by learning how to make pancakes 🍳 @GlasgowEY @GlasgowCC

Yesterday some of our children participated in a Children’s Rights Meeting, where they were learning about their right to identity, what this means and what they look like 💕 @garycondie67 @ScotGovEdu

To celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week we’ve been supporting the children in playing games together and sharing resources, this helps to promote a sense of belonging in at nursery ☺️ @earlyyearsontap @earlyyearsscot

As part of our Reading Schools Scotland Week celebrations, we listened to the story “What Colour Is Love”, we then drew pictures using our favourite colours 🌈 @CareInspect @EducationScot

This week some of our children visited the local Care Home, this experience helps the children to develop a sense of empathy and compassion for others, as well as growing their confidence and communication skills 💗@GlasgowCC

We had a really inspiring and helpful visit this afternoon from Cat and the team at @EYSS_GCC, who came to share information on resources and strategies to support our inclusive practice

Our children have the opportunity to choose our Reception Area Scent of the Week as we empower and enable children to make decisions about their nursery environment. This helps children to build their confidence and develop life skills @garycondie67 @UNCRC
