Sheesh, it's been like 10 years since an ex friend and I mutually decided to end all contact & even tho it was the right decision sometimes I miss the part of the friendship that was good. I hope he's doing all right.

Yesterday I recalled somone I knew from my teenage years and I wished I hadn't lost contact with them, and then "Next time I'll make sure I don't lose contact" flashed through my brain and I immediately got sad realizing/remembering(?) we only get one life. Make it count.

After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID. The 5200 contracts that are now cancelled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States. In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping (approximately 1000) to now be administered more effectively under the State Department. Thank you to DOGE and our hardworking staff who worked very long hours to achieve this overdue and historic reform.

@ohmwu douitashimashite is basically a way of saying thank you. and why is he saying "masu" means "is"? I'm assuming he means tabe-masu and trying to break up the words for English speakers to better directly translate.

Some pages have red while others don’t and apart from the grammar section above it seems mostly random?

I work with a lot of material from the 30’s so I thought this 1935 Japanese phrase book would be a great way to see how contemporary phrases were translated and OH BOY

But she's worth it. She remains bright minded, stubborn and eager to be a part of whatever is going on. She may not have the energy to play, but we keep her mind engaged with learning easy tricks instead (which she begs to practice).

ITS SUMOS BIRTHDAY TODAY! 🎈🥳🎉 🎂 She's 19 years old! Tonight on stream I'll be continuing celebrations. Fresh salmon, bday tunes, etc. maybe come hang out. :)
