I thought Arsenal were very good against Atletico. It was almost the perfect away European performance. The handball against Ben White was just really unfortunate and the VAR made a howler sending him to the screen for the Eze penalty. Overall confident they’ll do the job at the Emirates. Berta did not get ahead of Trossard’s physical decline. Berta signed Gyokeres, a wrong profile even if he was good because we already had two other runners in Martinelli & Madueke. Then it turns out that Gyokeres is not even good at all. Now we have 2 attackers that are not good enough to play + Jesus. What a debut masterclass transfer window.

I think we need to at least try someone else up front. I know he spent loads on Gyokeres, and he still tries hard and is good at the press. But he just doesn't work in the team. Even when we get him large spaces like this game, he was bad. I don't mind him coming on later 60/70 mins in games, but we need someone who can link up better inside. Martinelli/Saka should be tried up front for different reasons. I'd lean Martinelli as we can live with that a bit more and he's fast which can help us play in behind if needed.
