More viewpoint diversity would be better, but that's impossible to create when one side actively rejects it. Before Elon bought Twitter, the right created alternative platforms out of necessity because the left severely censored right-wing views. When Elon bought Twitter, the left voluntarily created alternative platforms specifically to avoid contact with right-wing views, not because they were being censored. So when leftists criticize X for its users skewing right, that's their own fault. They could always just... start posting on X to balance things out. Bluesky is even more ideologically skewed than X, but to the left. But the right isn't able to meaningfully increase viewpoint diversity there because they get banned for uttering basic facts.

These are the Twitter/X accounts with the most engagement so far in 2026. I suppose I had some intuition for how bad it was, but jeez, this is what you get when the ecosystem is broken.

@theDevFiend @GuntherEagleman How many millions of illegal aliens were pouring over the border in 1866 when they penned the amendment to address children of former slaves?

@GuntherEagleman Funny how “modern interpretations” conveniently ignore 100+ years of settled birthright citizenship. Suddenly history and precedent only matter when it fits today’s talking points.

Justice Kavanaugh delivered one of the sharper exchanges in the birthright citizenship arguments, pressing Solicitor General Sauer on why the 14th Amendment used different language than the Civil Rights Act of 1866 if they were meant to say the same thing. Sauer answered directly: The Court has long held they mean the same thing. The framers preferred the positive formulation "subject to the jurisdiction thereof" to clear up ambiguity with "Indians not taxed" while keeping the core requirement of full allegiance intact. Congressional records show they explicitly understood they were doing the same thing. Kavanaugh also noted Congress repeated that exact language in the 1940 and 1952 Immigration Acts. Sauer explained this was Congress codifying the constitutional baseline, not adopting a broader view. The structure of the statute treats subsection (a) as the constitutional floor and adds statutory citizenship categories beyond it. Justice Barrett then zoomed out on jus soli versus jus sanguinis, questioning how the Amendment blends elements of both. Sauer described it as a modified jus soli that still demands a relationship of allegiance to the sovereign, consistent with even English common law sources like Calvin's Case. This entire line of questioning reinforces what conservatives have argued for years: the 14th Amendment was never meant to be an open-ended grant of citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil regardless of parental allegiance or lawful status. Modern interpretations have stretched it far beyond the framers' design.

@evanwch Perhaps if they learn how to interact properly with women it would help. Flirting, if unwanted & asked to stop, is harassment. Welcomed flirting wouldn't be reported dear...

Sexual harassment laws have gone too far We’ve criminalized flirting at work and normal behavior, no wonder no one is having children Men are terrified of being men, not allowed to make jokes, tease, or compliment a woman Outright groping or threats of straight up sexual violence shouldn’t be allowed, obviously But having kids is downstream of forming relationships and young men are terrified of women as a side effect of these rules

Jordan Peterson shared one of the most sobering statistics I’ve heard in a long time. The U.S. Armed Forces — after over a century of careful psychometric research driven by life-and-death necessity — will not induct anyone with an IQ below 83. They concluded that there is simply nothing in the military (at any level) that such a person can be trained to do without being counterproductive. Peterson noted that this threshold captures roughly one in ten people. And if the military’s complexity is even roughly comparable to broader society, that means about 10% of the population has no viable place in our cognitively demanding world. He emphasized that this isn’t about lack of money or short-term training. The data shows it’s extremely difficult to turn low cognitive ability into the kind of adaptive, creative problem-solving that modern society requires. It’s a raw, uncomfortable truth about human variation that most people prefer not to discuss openly. What do you think — is this statistic something society needs to confront honestly, or is there a better way to think about it?

You literally can’t make this up Connecticut Democrats created a meals and beverage tax promising the money would go to the cities and towns It raised over $500 million and NONE of the money was given back to the municipalities where it was collected Democrats stole it all and put it into the general fund “That extra 1% tax has gone back to the general fund since 2019, generating over $500 million. But that wasn't the original intent. The money was supposed to go to the city or town where the tax was generated — It's money that you know is generated inside our local economies, but it's sent straight to the state's general fund. Our towns get nothing”
