For me this reiterates the importance of focusing on supporting #collaboration to work holistically in landscapes, and to not make assumptions about what framings, data and activities will help that for #sustainability

They were generally valued for co-producing plans and enroling new partners; they all considered nature in terms of assets and the services it can produce, but monetary #valuation wasn't always key.

To round off 2024, I’m very happy to share 2 papers from our work on #Nature-Based Solutions: both aim to support and refine practices in line with the @IUCN global standard for NbS. Getting this right, at scale, is essential for both people and nature. #Sustainability

Interesting call to review international conventions. Those working to safeguard nature and the environment are understandably protective of institutions and scant resources: but we need to be able to reflect on when it is best to adapt, merge or stop.
Rakhyun E. Kim@RakhyunKim

A growing number of environmental institutions are “zombies”—done with their job, yet persisting for own survival. They create illusions and block more relevant institutions. It’s time for them to exit with dignity. @IWC_int could set an example. @Nature: doi.org/10.1038/d41586…
