Year 13 English students have been bringing their set text, The Tempest, to life this week in lessons.

This week Year 7 students have had a visit from our librarian, Mrs Bandanwal to launch the Warwickshire Book Award and find out about the six great books on the shortlist.

The brilliant Booker Prize winning novel ‘Orbital’ by Samantha Harvey is available to borrow in the school library. Read it for a warts and all insight into the life of an astronaut. It’s essential reading for all Earth dwellers. #KES

A great turn-out for Junior Debating Society. Today’s motion: ‘This house believes that fast food should not be advertised on TV.’

This is a terrific read. I loved the illustrated bestiary at the front and the beautiful map, but above all it’s the characters and their relationships that will stay with me.
