If Calvinism is true—that every person is born totally unable to believe the gospel, and that faith is only possible through God’s sovereign, supernatural regeneration that causes belief in the elect—then WHY was Jesus astonished at the Centurion’s exceptional faith (Matthew 8:10) and astonished at the unbelief of the people in His hometown (Mark 6:6)? A consistent Calvinist view renders Jesus’s astonishment inexplicable, since faith (or its absence) would simply be the inevitable outworking of God’s unconditional decree and effectual calling rather than something genuinely surprising or praiseworthy in response to human response!

Looking back, nothing has changed my life more than saying yes to Jesus. It remains the best decision I’ve ever made.

If someone pulls you closer to Jesus, keep them.

There is absolutely nothing more important in your life right now than making sure that you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

@churchtalkative I believe we can… Unless you walk in perfect faith. Ezekiel 18:24: Mentions that a righteous person turning to wickedness will not have their past righteousness remembered. Also think of Judas, Samson, King Saul, imo way too many people think they are saved when they are not.

Can you lose your salvation?
