Fantastic work, a wonderful example of Scouts helping others in need.

@davidgcant My daughter has a paper round, Mon - Sat, 6am start weekdays, 5am Saturdays as she goes in early to sort & mark up rounds for all the paper girls / boys before working in the shop & delivering her own round. We are very proud of her! PS - She concurs on the tiny letter boxes!

Imagine. Fast asleep, all wrapped up, warm and cosy in bed. Most of the world is still asleep. The light is barely breaking the horizon. And the alarm goes off at 6.00 am, 7 days a week, to do a paper round. Sundays are the hardest. The papers are twice as heavy as weekday papers because of the supplements. Having to split the heavy load into two bags, hanging off both shoulders, while cycling up and down steep hills on a bike with only 3 gears. And trying to push the large papers through those tiny letter boxes is challenging. They should have been banned. Quickly learning the easiest and fastest route around all the houses - and knowing it like the back of a hand. Struggling during the cold, miserable dark winter mornings... Whether it teemed down with rain, was frosty, icy or even snowing heavily, persevered, and the papers still got delivered. Earning extra pocket money as the motivation to get out of bed in the morning. It required discipline, determination and a good work ethic. That was me 40 years ago, aged 13. My first taste of the job market and work experience. Thanks for reading. PS: What was your first job?

Just brilliant!

We’ve enjoyed a brilliant evening at Sharpe Jntr’s school, for @SchoolLongcroft Talent Show. From bands, solo artists, musical theatre and drama, to dancing, singing, comedy and emotional hard hitting drama - such vast, breathtaking talent.

@buliejell He looks so lovely there! Ours is the same. Beautiful, cute, loving, but often up to no good!

@KesterSharpe This one is very adorable when he wants to be but a definite imp !

This is one pup who has survived being run over by a car who is currently obviously very bored ! He is currently on a mission to kill off all our cushions now !

@buliejell We are in touch with all the other owners of our dog’s litter mates - all 6 are FRLs and all exactly the same. It’s one thing after another. One has 9 lives and is regularly at the vets after his many mishaps. All are very stubborn too.

@KesterSharpe I think there is definitely something about that colour - my black Labrador is 😇 in comparison .

@buliejell I can sadly empathise on many levels with all of this, especially as a fellow fox red owner!
