@Flashygalflush2 @Bestofsopranos I done one a few years back. Was brilliant. It doesn’t go to Tony’s house though, as it’s too far. Loads of the others places though: The Bing, Holstens, The Pork Store (building has been knocked down unfortunately) etc. you get picked up in Manhattan. Also met @JoeRGannascoli

Anyone with any knowledge of English football history will know that it is ridiculous for Southampton’s chief executive, Phil Parsons, to claim that their expulsion from the Championship play-offs is a bigger punishment than the 30-point deduction imposed on Luton Town in 2008 which led to relegation and almost throttled the life out of the club. Absolutely no comparison and completely weakens Southampton’s attempted argument that being thrown out of the play-offs is “manifestly disproportionate to every previous sanction in the history of the English game”. There is some good stuff in Parsons’ statement: accepting culpability for Spygate, apologising to those clubs they spied on and apologising to their fans “whose extraordinary loyalty and support this season deserved better from the club”. Well said. But… the rules changed since Leeds United’s “similar offence” in 2019, there is no right to the £200m (it’s not a fine), and to play the whataboutery game and make the comparison with the Hatters is, fittingly, mad. Southampton’s reputation is certainly damaged but at least their very existence is not at risk. #SaintsFC #LTFC

Harry Kane is 32 years old, married to his childhood sweetheart, has four children, runs his own mental health foundation, and donates regularly to armed forces and mental health charities. He doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, and has spent his entire career in the spotlight without a single scandal attached to his name. On the pitch, the numbers are extraordinary. His country's all-time top scorer. His boyhood club's all-time top scorer. Six Golden Boots, four in the Premier League, one at a World Cup. Figures that the vast majority of strikers will never get close to. And yet he remains one of the most written-off and underappreciated players of his generation. A man who has devoted everything to club and country, never once put a foot wrong off the pitch, and embodies every quality you could want from a professional footballer. If you're looking for a role model, it doesn't get much cleaner than this. The fact it even needs pointing out says everything.

@maxrushden Max, you simply have to book Dave Allen for "What did you do yesterday". It would be unbelievable! In it for life!

@MigCrew2000 @LutonTown Harsh. He’s still done a lot more good than bad though. Had he signed in summer 2024, I’d agree with you but 2021-2024 he was brilliant. IMO we wouldn’t have got into the premier league in the first place without him. Lots of others to blame ahead of him

@LutonTown What’s with all the loving for Elijah? He’s the common denominator. The reason we went down was because of how poor he was last season, unforgivable and unacceptable. I won’t be cheering his name like those with short memories

We are sorry to report that Elijah Adebayo has suffered an injury to his hip, which will now rule him out of action for the remainder of the season. Wishing you a smooth recovery, Eli. 🧡 🔗 lutontown.co.uk/en/news/adebay…

@LutonTownExile I think he’s been somewhere between poor & underwhelming. At some stage, we need to stick with someone. Every time a new manager comes in, we will have to refresh the squad. We need a different approach this time & need to show patience. He hasn’t covered himself in glory though

Day 161 of the Jack Wilshere era. Has he shown enough in that time to warrant a longer stay?

@gompstomp78 I’m not disagreeing with you but at some point we have to stick with someone. The last two times we have sacked managers, we’ve got worse in my opinion. I was all for sacking the managers at the time too. It’s all a bit of a mess.

We won’t go anywhere with JW in charge and this recruitment team in place. Our “strikers” are some of the worst I’ve seen in a Luton shirt.

@callumLtfc @sjdhatters Yeah an odd one. I think because Wilshere had so many injuries he is ultra cautious in not overplaying players. Rotating them and making sure they have sufficient rest time. I don’t agree with the approach myself but what do I know

@ben_combes @gompstomp78 I’m not defending 2020 or the recruitment team since January 2024. It’s been a disaster. However, they played a massive part in getting us there (2016-2023, as you put it). They’ve pretty much taken us back to league one though.

@KevCrawleyLuton @gompstomp78 If 2020 and the recruitment team played a big part, why can’t they replicate it, particularly now that they have more resources? And for the 10%, it was getting us to the PL so I was only really counting that first eight months. Which was really only a small fraction of 2016-2023

That Charlton result last night was a typical Nathan type win. Against all odds, made plenty of changes but managed to get a huge away win. Something that we can only dream of under Jack
