Audiojack graciously remixed that effort, and one day soon after its release somebody sent this video of Marco Carola playing it explaining to me that he’d been caning the record all over Europe.

This is the moment in 2011 that changed everything for me. After becoming fast friends with both Audiojack and Matt Tolfrey in the late aughts, I had my first release on an international label, Tolfrey’s Leftroom Records Imprint.

I feel like writing lyrics without boozy inspiration has been level up for sheezy. Out here gettin’ tryna get my green velvet on. 😂 I see you unc 🙏🏾👊🏾

At times like we’re all going through I find it restorative to stop, take a beat, and simply breathe. Over the last year, here are a few of the moments where I was able to slow down and appreciate. I hope you can find a moment to pause as well when you can, I find it so worth it.
