Additionally, you can't play PS5 games from a hard drive, so your only option is to copy it back into the system which can take who knows how long...

If digital is your preference, great. You no longer have to endure the exhausting journey of getting up to change a disc. But advocating for Sony to abolish physical games is just weird. Why fight to remove a choice that doesn’t affect you? More options help everyone… right?

Out of curiosity, I decided to see just how many games I own are actually exclusive to the PS5 Of the 85 games I own, 36 of those games cannot be played on a PS4. Of those games, ONLY TWO are exclusive to the PS5 in general Really makes me wonder why I even bought a PS5

The entire thing is making Nintendo a more attractive option. -still has physical media - gives their employees a raise instead of constant fear of getting fired -3rd party games and exclusives -cheaper than any other console, including a pa5 pro -portable Might not be for everyone but Nintendo has a clear strategy that actually makes sense

The idea that game prices will skyrocket without used/physical games is hilarious for two reasons: 1. Games compete with one another for sales, time and attention even within the same platform. If two digital games launch on PlayStation in the same month but one is bombing, it WILL have to go on sale sooner than later even without a physical version. 2. Many Nintendo games during the Switch 1 era had physical copies. They notoriously rarely went on sale anyway, because the demand and not the format dictated the price. This whole argument is pure fearmongering from a dying breed, hoping to scare you into supporting them.

@HlNOMARUSUMO 2. Nintendo isn't the only one making games for switch and switch 2. Many 3rd party games go on sale often.

@HlNOMARUSUMO 1. It's not hard to understand. Nintendos games are evergreen titles. They have demand the entire gen because they're just that good. Additionally, physical versions of their games can be found.just about anywhere for cheaper. That's the point.

No discs, no buy. There are still two other platforms we can support that will be continuing physical media.
