Thinking more, I think I'm struggling between the educator role & entertainer role.
When I record & teach, I follow a logical flow and explain linearly.
Obviously with YouTube content, I can't just do that. I need a better mix.

Wow, I just realized my YouTube content sucks 🤯 My channel has not been growing. It is sort of expected because I haven’t put too much effort into it. Today, I finally sat down and spent 2 hrs to analyze what went wrong. I got 3 points for myself. 1. I’ve been winging my video content I often just have an idea, write it out, record it, and then find a story angle for the title & thumbnail. Many people say we have to start with the story angle first. Now I see why. 2. I don’t have a good first 20 seconds I watched a few of my videos. The beginning is just … slow & boring. I realized while I don’t need crazy hooks, I do need to create a curiosity gap + give context at the very start. Thank you @AprilynneAlter for her awesome last video breaking this down! 3. I should be more relaxed and conversational, like talking to a friend Just like all sorts of content creation, it is so easy to turn it into a presentation. I think I do okay in text, but I should do this in videos. I had some big ideas about leveling up my YouTube channel but I know I have to ditch them for now. I should focus on these 3 things first. All in all, YouTube is hard! Who is struggling with me? 😂

@crash_power Thanks @crash_power , they look good but just isn't my video style. However, the 2nd animation is quite subtle and doesn't look as intrusive. I might give it a try in my next video.

@Kev_Chee I understand why you don't do the call to action anymore. However, I have some customizable visual aids I could send you if your interested.

This further emphasize 1 thing, the best way to grow your channel is to simply create content consistently and improve little by little in each video launch.
If your video gets picked up by the YouTube algorithm, consider it a bonus and have no expectations whatsoever.

This also tells me that this 550 days old video has the right thumbnail, right title and right content quality.
It just never got picked up by the YT algorithm..
And it is frustrating as a small content creator because I need the right feedback to grow fast, not wait 550 days.

This is why YouTubers should not worry too much about under performing videos.
A 550 days old video of mine has suddenly shot up in views, from the usual 50 views/day to 1500 views/day.
Along with that came new subscribers as well.

@AdSense how can I raise a ticket to get my account reviewed? I seem to have 2 Adsense accounts in 1 gmail and 1 of them seem to be a ‘ghost’ account because I’ve only signed up once!

@TeamYouTube how do I stop an Adsense review that is ‘In Progress’ during monetisation? I have a feeling mine is stuck because I requested approval through Adsense and I would like to restart the approval and linking process.
